Contextual AI, a generative AI platform that designs and develops augmented LLMs for enterprise applications has received $20M in Seed Funding. The company’s CEO Douwe Kiela and CTO Amanpreet Singh held roles at AI model hosting platform Hugging Face Inc. prior to heading up Contextual AI.
+ Pomelo Care Raises $33M in a Series A Funding Round
In a move to expand its partnerships with major health plans, New York-based virtual healthcare company Pomelo Care raised $33M in Series A funding. Pomelo Care focuses on improving maternal and newborn health by identifying underlying risk factors and increasing access to care. The funding round was led by venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz.

Founded in 2014, venture capital firm Swanlaab Venture Factory says it, “aims to invest in early-stage Spanish startups with B2B business models and clear technological differentiation.” This is the company’s second Investment Fund with its first taking place in May 2016.
+ Tuhabi Raises $50M in Debt Funding
With plans to increase its real estate inventory, Tuhabi raised $50M in Debt Funding. Tuhabi serves Latin American populations in Colombia and Mexico. The company automates home price estimate calculations using AI and manual assessments, allowing customers to sell their homes online and receive funds within 10 days.
+ AAVantgarde Bio Raised $65.3M In Series A Funding
Italy-based biotech company Aavantgarde Bio expressed that its initial focus following its successful funding round is to utilize the $65.3M raised to help patients suffering from the impact of blindness associated with Usher1B syndrome and Stargardt disease. Funders who participated in the Series A round include Atlas Venture, Forbion and Sofinnova Telethon Fund.
