Happy May, and welcome to our second installment of the Owler Quarterly Newsletter
We have some exciting enhancements to announce this quarter!
Quick reminder, if you didn’t see our Q1 newsletter, Check it out here. We hope you’re enjoying our two newly-launched features - custom lists and saved searches! If you haven’t checked them out yet, what are you waiting for?
Two new features launched this month!
We appreciate the great feedback from our members and are working on several improvements to our advanced search tool. This month we have made substantial improvements to the way our funding data search and leadership change search works.
Advanced Search Improvements
If you didn’t know, under “More FIlters” on our Advanced search Tab you will find an easy way to discover companies that have been acquired, received funding, or had any major leadership changes.
Funding Search Improvements
In the last 12 months Owler has captured and tracked 41,638 funding announcements across our database. To help you capture the most value from this data, we have designed our search to give you the ability to choose what round, a range for the amount raised, the funding date ranges, as well as the investor’s name if you are searching for a specific VC firm or company.
When you set filters, you will be able to see results in real-time! You can also couple this filter with any other filters available in search to ensure you are only seeing the funding announcements that align with your territory or needs. In the top of your results window next to revenue you will see a small arrow. If you click that, you will see the company logo, the last funding date, the funding amount, what type of funding it was, as well as the company’s total funding amount.
Leadership Change Search improvements
We’ve made similar improvements to our “leadership change” search filter. With over 30,000 major leadership hires tracked over the last 12 months, we wanted to provide you a way to filter to the most valuable changes for your needs. First, visit “More Filters” on our Advanced search tab. Next, at the bottom of the popup you’ll see an option to choose a role and a date for major leadership changes for which you’d like to filter results.
When you set and edit your filters, you’ll see results in real-time! If you click on the arrow next to revenue you will now be able to see the company logo, the name of the person who has changed jobs, their title, the date of the announced change, as well as a link to an article announcing the change with more details. If you click the arrow next to the article title, we also provide a link to the person’s LinkedIn profile if we have it!
Check out these two new search filters and let us know what you think.
