Openprise has been searching for a better way to research their client’s competitors, and until they found Owler’s team solution, nothing they used had a single source of truth for competitor intelligence.

“We finally just expanded to getting everybody in the Sales Development team an Owler license. I always found Owler really useful for competitor intelligence and a quick, easy view of key account details that can help you on a cold call. I can quickly look up a company, look at their competitors and easily determine whether or not some of those competitors were our customers. With Owler’s team solution, Openprise has dramatically reduced the time spent researching company information and competitive intelligence for their clients. Owler’s team solution streamlines the account research process reducing the amount of website hopping Openprise had to achieve before finding Owler’s team solution.

“One of our key accounts team members works with a very particular client that expects them to come prepared with a huge amount of account research per account and bring five accounts every Friday. That used to be a hassle to put together used to take them a lot of time to dig and do all that research. It was hard to find that single source of truth with all the account information needed. Owler’s team solution is that single source of truth for him and saves him a lot of time putting that research together. Obviously, the value of that research is good as well,” notes Shan.

For Openprise, the employee count and competitor information on Owler are the top two most valuable features. Shan notes that employee count is tough to narrow down, and Openprise’s territories are segregated based on employee accounts. 

“Owler’s team solution has good information in terms of employee count and competitors. I think it's a pretty unique tool. There's LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo, but the way you guys present the information is impressive,” says Shan.
