Welcome to the New Owler

Hello, I’m Tim, the CEO of Owler, and I want to let you know about some exciting new changes we’re making to Owler today that could impact your experience. 

We’ve grown… a lot! 

Over the last eight years, our incredible Owler community has grown to over 5 million members, many of whom use Owler every day for prospecting, supporting customers, investing, job hunting, and just about every other use you can think of. 

We now track over 15 million companies, receive 500,000 new contributions from the community each month, and deliver updates to nearly 5 million members every day. Owler has been 100% free during this exciting time of exponential growth, and we hope you’ve gotten the most out of it! 

Owler is evolving

The time has come for Owler to evolve, and today we are launching a new vision for the company, a fresh update to the Owler brand, and a new product to help members access the insights we provide: Owler Pro. This product is a paid plan that offers additional functionality above our free plan, to address our customers’ diverse needs and budgets. They are the result of hundreds of conversations with members of the community just like you.

Owler Max – for Sales

Owler Max is built for high-velocity Sales and Customer Success teams that track hundreds of companies every day. Owler Max allows you to dynamically sync Owler with your CRM and communication tools in order to track news for all of your active prospects and customers. Did a prospect just open a new office and now might now be a good time to reach out? Or did a long-time customer just go through a round of layoffs that you should be aware of? Rather than manually setting up and then constantly updating Google Alerts, Owler Max notifies you immediately about important changes with your Salesforce Leads, Opportunities and Accounts as they evolve, without you having to do anything! 

The all-new Owler community (our Free product)

For anyone new to Owler, we are also introducing a new free Community plan for all members signing up for the first time today onward. If you already have an Owler account, you can skip to the next section! From today forward, anyone who signs up for a new Owler Community account can follow up to 5 companies, access 3 news event triggers (funding, acquisition, and leadership change), and view 10 unique company profiles each month. 

What does this mean for existing members?

We care about the Owler community. If you’re already an Owler member, nothing is changing for you today. You will continue to enjoy the same great features and access the original platform as you always have. That said, as a legacy member, you won’t have access to any of the new features we’ve included in the new Owler Community and Owler Max, including the news feed and news trigger events. You also won’t be able to enjoy any new features we launch in the future, such as advanced search or custom keyword search.
